Building Community and Opportunity for Young Filmmakers

Our Mission
To provide an online community that gives youth an opportunity to explore creative expression, tell their stories, practice the art of filmmaking and engage in friendly competition.
How We Got Started
As a Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Arts Partner, CEO and Master Teaching Artist, Ms. Bancroft has taught hundreds of students how to bring their stories to life on video through redballoonplayroom.com. KMF is an extension of her dedication to motivating & engaging students in the process of storytelling through movie making.
About Kids Movie Fest
Today’s world is heightened by new social norms and challenges. Now, more than ever, youth need an outlet to express themselves, which is instrumental to their development. KMF provides an online community that gives them an opportunity to explore creative expression, tell their stories, practice the art of filmmaking and engage in friendly competition.
